Being a novel “written” in internationally recognizable lingua franca: emojiese. A means to transcend language barriers?
Heutzutage kennt sie fast jeder, die kleinen Bildzeichen oder Piktogramme oder Symbole oder Smileys, die längst nicht allein Gefühle ausdrücken. Dies ist der weltweit wohl verbreitetste Star dieser Zeichen:
Der in Deutschland nur wenigen bekannte chinesische Künstler Xu Bing, bisher jedenfalls existiert auf der deutschen Wikipedia noch kein Eintrag, hat fast zehn Jahre, von 2003 bis 2012, an einem Roman gearbeitet, der 2013 vom Massachusets Museum of Contenporary Arts in Kooperation mit dem Massachusets Institute of Technology publiziert wurde und nur aus Emojis besteht – so heißen diese kleinen Zeichen. Und dies ist das Inhaltsverzeichnis des Romans:

Lustig, aber es sieht auch etwas anstrengend aus, alle diese Zeichen zu interpretieren.

Ein Emoji beinhaltet eine ganze Reihe von Bedeutungen, einfach sowie sehr kompliziert. Strassenzeichen waren schon Emojis, international bekannt, ohne Übersetzung erkennbar. Ein Schreibsystem besteht aus individuellen alphabetischen Kombinierungen von Buchstaben, ob lateinische, russische, arabische…
Images sind jetzt elektronisch erkennbar und kann von Programmen übersetzt werden, vielleicht mit Emojis begleitet. Eigentlich können sie mit Audio kombiniert werden.

Ja, das gibt es sehr viele Möglichkeiten. Einige Emojis sind ja eindeutig, aber manche müssen doch noch etwas interpretiert werden, so daß ich es mir etwas anstrengend vorstelle, ein ganzes Buch mit diesen Symbolen zu “lesen.”

Thank you ‘likely’ for the kind words, Mike. It is an honor to trundle on the road far less traveled and to have kept true to a “most worthy world view” with you. The Empire of the Stolen States has most unfortunately applied lessons learned from the British Empire of the former Never-Setting-Settler-Colonial-Capitalist Imposition.

Many thanks for the ten sentient cloud emojis, including action (verb) for each activity (noun), (adverb/adjective…). Now you just need some other parts of speech:
a category to which a word is assigned in accordance with its syntactic functions. In English the main parts of speech are noun, pronoun, adjective, determiner, verb, adverb, preposition, conjunction, and interjection.

Despite having a severely limited German vocabulary, I do think this was a mind blowing post. As an author, I won’t be writing whole stories in emojis though. Haha! This does raise so many points not just about text or speech, but what kind of concept would be an archetype for emojis as language.
