Upon Noting the US Imperial War on Iraq

Today marks the 18th anniversary of the disastrous US imperial invasion of Iraq. Near universal condemnation did not stop the Organization for the Project for a New American Century from deliberately lying about the reasons for setting off the circus to bring in support from “patriots” who were fed misinformation that tied an imperial greed for oil to the spurious connection of their former puppet Sadaam Hussein with the Saudis who turned aircraft into guided missiles on 11 September 2001. The plan to seize Iraqi oil had already been written into stone long before the circus fireworks began. Watching bunker-busting bombs 24/7 kept patriots glued to TV screens.

Riding the waves of vandals

The house of cards constructed on the geography of what is termed the Middle East destroyed the fragile balance held by the various Arab states completely devastated in The Great War. The US Empire had already invaded Afghanistan a year earlier, but the actual aim was the establishment of imperial footprints in oil-rich states. The Guardian published an opinion piece by the Climate researcher Bill McKibben, he ties the greed for never-ending flow of oil to keep the military hegemony equipped with fuel. Ironically, fossil fuels were given a new lease on life that kept fossil fuels burning indefinitely. Climate catastrophe became nearly inevitable.

The first victim of war is truth, the true-believer soldiers who believed the lies are fated to suffer the PTSD that those bitter lies brings, the knowledge that your never-ending string of tours destroys your soul. Tortured truth occurs when your sacrifices get chained to the devastation that a pointless war brings in the guise of “necessary” torture via extraordinary rendition and the indefinite incarceration of persons who played no role. They were secreted into legal limbos such as Guantanamo. PTSD leads to never-ending suffering by those who were fed the lies and lose a functioning conscious as a result, including those who choose death at their own hand as the only exit from eternal torment.

Guantanamo is the quasi-legal internment camp built by scoundrels, truth becomes a clay formed to look real, a brittle clay that shatters into fragments. There is no integrity in a ludicrous military state that believes itself blessed by a deity that strikes the “enemy” to forge a geopolitical house of cards. The US Empire whitewashes an institution called “democracy,” but it is actually an imposition of advantage by thugs set loose by their criminal agencies.

Israel is a so-called democracy created by US interests in 1948 to establish a land-based aircraft carrier that would fill the vacuum created when the downfall of the Ottomans fell to Western forces. Israel is a heavily militarized agent that serves as laboratory for intelligence bureaus that keep the folly churning into the future. It did not even exist in 1947, but its ability to stay in the game keeps every visage of a worthy democracy at bay. Israel is an autocracy that plays its Zionist European settler-colonialism to do what European empires always do — take on the role of a people blessed by their creator to liberate the conquered and to establish a spurious democracy under a presumed and jealous natural law and order. A system created and maintained to serve white-supremacist principles, to rule under the presumption of a white European colonial spirit.

Self-Whiteous Supremacism: A System

Yesterday, I listened to a conversation between a couple “historians” who shared great misgivings about The 1619 Project — they were not there to criticize the projects accuracy.

Racists thrive by disavowing accurate and unfavorable facts that go against their narrative . The validity of those disturbing historical facts is not the issue, their concern: it casts the Founding Fathers unfavorably. The myth is more important than reality. The Roman Catholic Church in the USA does not have many Black congregants, Black Lives Matter did not matter as soon as news of looting made its way through Mother Angelica’s EWTN rightwing broadcasters. I am not aware of any sizable Roman-Catholically leftwing broadcasters. Does it exist?

Unacknowledged racism is not inadvertent, it is systemic. These two “historians” saved their final salvo for last, the issue of reparations —a magical incantation that clears rooms quickly. Restitution turns upon a qui bono: to whom does it benefit? Following the money does not benefit the myth makers. What of the trillions of dollars of benefits forgone, of dreams deferred until Hell ices over? Does it matter that slavers did receive recompense from the US government? Of course neither of these esteemed “historians” ever owned slaves — QED enough for the audience, QED enough for the host and guest. White Lives Matter, Trump is a God-send.

Former slaves and the descendants of those slaves (ADOS) have been adding trillions of dollars to white coffers since 1619. How many trillions of dollars of value brought the USA from an agrarian to an industrial economy? Is it best to issue a check in the amount of $0 trillion? Blacks who have immigrated to the US did not arrive in chains, did not survive the trip from Africa only to be auctioned to the highest bidder — hence the need for ADOS perspectives. The 1619 Project is not subtitled “Mistakes Were Made.”

The only “immigration” papers available to ADOS were the names appearing on shipping manifests and bills of lading. Jamestown welcomed the first forced human resources.

When sold at auction ADOS became slaves in perpetuity, under penalty of law.

In the name of their omni-God and respective flags, the monarchs sent their “exploring heroes” and a well-regulated militia to grace history book soundbites memorized over generations. The coiled snake is a favorite: Don’t tread on me, the white man in the room.

American “educators” instill the same familiar names on the same timelines from school year to school year, from one generation to the next, from one century to the next. Racism has always run rather rampant in the USA. It’s a white-eat-black world.

Received history is sanitized history, thickly covered in whitewash. Is genocide, slavery, rape, and plunder a cultural good? Is it the unavoidable price of progress, culture, and civilizations forced to fit a celebrated European white supremacist system?

“You can’t make an omelet without breaking eggs.” Walter Duranty, Pulitzer Prize winner and fervid Stalin apologist.

Received histories are tales of white-supremacist conquerors and bounty collectors. Do you need a reason to justify wanton greed, torture, and death when your “civilization” casts its warriors as God-fearing gentlemen eager to bring the “good news” of genocide and land theft to those standing in their path?

Regime change pretty much describes the United States of America’s MO. Venezuela is manifestly destined to become a client state of the US, its enormous oil reserves require a puppet regime. Bolivia was recently blessed with a regime change. It seems that their soil contains the rare-earth element lithium required for a new generation of handheld computers. Capitalism is white-ordained privilege. Greed feeds the needless with the pennies of the needy.

White supremacy is complicity by complexion. The only thing you need to know about European world domination — European facial characteristics. White conventional wisdom — do things in the great white way: get away with as much as you can, with every ounce of guile and greed you can muster. Never accept responsibility. Remember that selfishness is a virtue. Keep a good stock of scapegoats in the barn.

Languages, Escape Velocity and Bigly Lies

Learning a second or 3rd or 4th language is like escaping the gravity of your native land. You probe about in another way of being, of thinking, of observing. Better still — if you’ve the inclination — learn another tongue via a second or third language. Meet the stranger in a place foreign to each.

I am so grateful for my Palestinian student who decided to learn German via English, without recourse to his native Arabic. He inspired me to do the same — learn Arabic by way of German. “arabisch lernen”

The other international students joined me to prepare for lessons conducted in German. Some lessons I’ve learned

Iranian students taught me about Savak and their Shah many years before the Revolution of 1979. Krupp established large industrial site in that Persian land. An industrial giant since the 16th Century. A family tradition, Blut und Eisen.

Propaganda relies upon endlessly repeated mistranslations, designed to obfuscate. Weaponized language to serve hidden agendas, to move geopolitical stakes through sabotage, bigotry, racism, straw men, false flags, pacification, liquidation; in other words, chicanery of any convenient kind. Whatever works. No questions asked.

Walls visible and invisible. Sow the seeds of discontent to ignite anger. Divide and conquer. British imperialists deliberately provoked Sunni and Shia rivalries by locating them within an arbitrary borderline. Think of it as double solitary confinement. A technique that works wonders: encourage each to fight the other over differences deep as the empire gathers spoils of conquest, to the victor go the value subtracted.

History remembered is myth created by the most talented liars. Every American recites the same short soundbites: flag-shaded collective memories. Memorized lies to mask disquieting truth. 1,000 memorized lies. Cherrypick and pass on. Manufacture your destiny as something somehow manifest by a deity for your outrageous fortune. Cloying spoilings.

Conduct experiments on war fodder soldiers and increase your “intelligence.” Handbooks written by Chinese military master torturers were translated verbatim and reapplied in Guantanamo — word by evil word.

Accuse Cuba of human rights violations while torturing prisoners on Cuban soil. Announce bounties — turn in someone you hate, an enemy or a randomly selected person, a stranger. Get paid for lying about an innocent neighbor. Extraordinary rendition is spuriously twisted language designed by twisted authority to mask torture by proxy. Look the other way. Justify everything. Celebrate the patriotic art of bigly deals. Endless war for endless profit. Drop MOABS and cut a purchase order for replacement MOABS.
