Gobsmacked and Disgusted

Aid to the Church in Need

Yesterday, I learned of an organization founded in 1947, a team of Catholics who evangelize for the one holy Catholic Roman and Apostolic church. The basis for their formation is the belief that Catholics are the most persecuted religion on the planet. These fancy that Christians, very specifically Catholics, have more martyrs than ever, that they are subjected to waves of persecutions. These Freedom and Liberty lovers who wish to bring the naysayers to their knees. Their self-described victimhood knows no bounds. Their willingness to sell their souls for personal gain at the expense of others is manifest. The flame of capitalism is their icon.

While millions of Muslims are exterminated, this is happening

It’s hard to imagine that the 21st Century is yet ruled by likes of these friends of Inquisition and proponents for a return to the glorious days of the Crusades. Islamophobic nut-cases not only yet creep among us, but they are hideously well-funded. They are agents for a new Catholic Century, they are giddily received by the broadcasters who invite them to airwaves that are already sought by the true believers of rightwing supremacism.

Did I mention that they are well funded? Before Trump departed a residence on Pennsylvania Avenue, for the celebratory events of January 6, 2021. A new fascist with better people skills is already going through the grooming, Fascism doesn’t simply disappear from the scene, and its lifeblood is capitalism.

This is Freedom?

I am not the only person who has been gobsmacked by such events. The local drive-time broadcaster welcomed a member of the men-of-the-cloth who yearn for a return to the pre enlightenment. Here is a link to the interview that introduced me to these gentle souls, Steve Bannon was a drive-time away from the Vatican when he was shuffled out. A new team is always there to ring in the old days of patriarchal presumption. Aid to the Church in Need have no time for the victims of the US Empire who drop missiles on unarmed Muslims, hospitals, who starve millions at the behest of a fossil-fuel family (the Kingdom of Saud is a single family who purchase US arms by the billions of dollars.

China maintains concentration camps for the Uighurs, millions are exterminated in Western China. Compare these numbers to the sanctified Church that pays no taxes, yet recieves multiple billions of Federal dollars from Covid relief. It is simply and quietly delivered to their coffers.

A Google search reveals a great many proponents of propaganda of the faith society who join in with the spin. Racism is a meticulously measured force of a white supremacism that finds a ready audience and a yearning for a strong man to enforce the spirit of law and order that never goes out of style. Money to assure political success. CBS is one media source that is paying attention to the funds transfer.

Have I mentioned that racism runs rampant in the Holy and Apostolic parishes.These are not friends of George Floyd or any of the police officers who preceded Derek Chauvin. Blacks are simply not among the congregants, the few who have are of the ilk of Uncle Toms of a Clarence Thomas massive sell outs. Speaking more about Supreme Court seats: six of the nine Supreme Court Justices are Catholic, these six are also well connected with the lords and ladies of politic society. Not a single Muslim exists on SCOTUS. This while the genuinely martyred are among the two billion who identify with sects of their faith.

A Google search reveals a great many proponents of propaganda of the faith society who join in with the spin. A search seems always to include those who oppose movements — such as myself, but this organization manages to defy the expected. The proponents outweigh the opponents 100 to 1. A link to CBS connects the dots that follow the money. So far it is the only site that brings a discussion of the massive transfer of dollars to make up for the Catholic team’s losses suffered among the payouts caused by the sexual-deviants, enough to satisfy the court decisions and to leave several billion dollars for the home team. Curiously, the founder of the organization has been convincingly identified as a sexual predator. The very fellow who founded it. You may not be surprised to hear that the very founder who had his hands in the cookie jars started it all in his native Germany.

So what does the future hold for these neo inquisitors who seek to checkmate those among us who know the way to twist and turn the Constitution to keep America white ever again? That is a trick point. America has always been white-determined and favored. The cards are held and played to game the system in every corner of the US Empire.

Still gobsmacked me though.

I draw your attention to rogue journalist Caitlin Johnstone, a touchstone source for independent thinkers. She is tenacious enough to separate truth from the spewing firehoses of propaganda, misinformation, disinformation, and conventional wisdom: How To Be A Mentally Sovereign Human.

White-centric history books thoroughly propagandize the role of animal “agriculture,” the fencing in of the plains for “livestock”, the cowboy drives of cattle to market, the railroad cowboys who would stop to slaughter bison for the sheer sport of it. To tell the truth is to share the obvious, to follow the conventional wisdom is to justify the protracted torture and slaughter of highly sentient creatures for appetite and fashion. A single field trip to any factory farm is unthinkable, it really is incomprehensible what occurs there, yet a single trip to a supermarket should suffice to inform a customer that something very wrong happened, and not just in that single marketplace.

Samantha told us how a lot of the reasoning behind these visits is due to how much misinformation there is in the world, especially in social media, regarding what she referred to as “animal agriculture,” the literal farming of animals. We turned a corner to see some cows happily grazing at a trough as they waited to be milked, and learned about the economics of the situation. In particular, it currently costs more to milk a cow than it does to sell the milk itself, which makes the business a little difficult. We would later learn that the farm sold some cows in the past to help make ends meet due to this pricing crisis.

Reverse Racism & White Supremacy

Adam Smith published Wealth of Nations in 1776, an apt enough prologue for a certain declaration signed that very year.

Does it matter that Smith was virulently racist?

Excerpts from The Wealth of Nations:

Such nations, however, are so miserably poor, that, from mere want, they are frequently reduced […] to the necessity sometimes of directly destroying, and sometimes of abandoning their infants, their old people, and those afflicted with lingering diseases, to perish with hunger, or to be devoured by wild beasts.

Among civilised and thriving nations, on the contrary […] the produce of the whole labour of the society is so great, that all are often abundantly supplied, and a workman, even of the lowest and poorest order, if he is frugal and industrious, may enjoy a greater share of the necessaries and conveniences of life than it is possible for any savage to acquire…

The list grows quickly, including Turkey and Indostan. To these he adds ancient Egypt, “Mahometan” nations, the Arabs, Africa, the West Indies, Persia, Bengal, Siam, China, and North American indigenous peoples, who comprise “the lowest and rudest state of society”.

In the end, the whole world apart from Europe is characterised as “savage” and “barbaric.”

The Judeo-Christian tradition is a Western European countenance, wearing Whiteface. Stephen Bannon is a racist with wide-ranging ambitions that extend anywhere that his countenance is tolerated. He is the spitting image of a certain conception of godliness, a favorite of White supremacists.

White supremacists flatter themselves as guardians of Western values. They are on a mission to make scriptural misunderstandings tools for geopolitical and racial advantage. The Judeo-Christian tradition is a conversation between Holy Land pilgrims who share a common disdain for Islam. Partners in arms against Muslims. The Church Militant.

The more eons that revered ancestors live under the cloud-laden lands of Europe, the more perfectly do they resemble the acceptable White features of the stereotyped Holy Family in the Holy Land that suffers under the “Mahometan…lowest and rudest state of society” — to couch the concept in Adam Smith typologies.

Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu, will you know them by their love? I am told that many a citizen of Israel would welcome an exchange of Presidents. Perhaps they could take revolving terms in their respective States.

Is racism against Blacks unknown in Israel? Do Palestinian children on their way to school hear tut-tuts when Israeli soldiers aim assault rifles in the children’s faces? Are Palestinian school kids not snakes that grow into bigger snakes?

Judeo-Christians, will you know them by their loathe?

Let us now return to the wealth of nations. Do Black People have equal access to wealth-management systems? Are opportunities shmopportunities?

Disparities between the ultra rich and the ultra marginalized grow ever wider and ever deeper in the land of Freedom Oil and the home of the genocided Braves. Does racism matter?

Has “reverse racism” so crippled White American dreamers that Whites now scramble for the crumbs dropped by greedy and heartless “savage” and “barbaric” Blacks? Do hedge-fund managers from Black Wall Street refuse equal access to potential White investors? Why is Black Wall Street never more than a footnote, a remark that “mistakes were made” ?

I think of Proto-Indo-European as a linguistic continent comprised of many languages — geographies mapped by language. Though PIE has left nothing in writing for her descendants to examine, a process of reverse engineering points to a hub at the greater Ukraine vicinity.

All homo sapiens came from East Africa, the shortest and most easily traversed paths have gone through what is now Palestine. Those who took up residence in the fertile bread-basket of Western Asia stopped to create PIE before proceeding to various points of the compass.

My first steps taken outside the world of English were in German, where I wrestled her complex set of inflections — function signals developed over the millennia on the Northern European Plain — an easily traversed topography as well. The shortest distance between two points takes longer if you must scale mountains along the way.

Arabic doesn’t look three-quarters of a smidgeon like PIE.

Saxons brought German across the channel, The English. Along that path, the “b” became a “v”, the “t” became a “d” and a few other things I shall leave unexamined right now. Vikings made short work of inflections when they occupied Isles, The British. The “t” latched onto the “h” to do something not done in proper German society — sticking the tongue out. A native German-speaking friend once told me that her mother would scold her at any spoken breach, such as allowing your tongue to extend beyond the teeth.

One of my German students, a Palestinian, introduced me to the Arabic alphabet. I accepted his interest in German as a challenge to learn Arabic, at the time I hadn’t known that Arabic was not one of the PIE tongues. The excerpt of the Qu’ran included below might alert you that Arabic doesn’t look three-quarters of a smidgeon like PIE. Peruse this image for a long take at nine English words. Search any translation, interpretation, analysis, mistranslation, misinterpretation, or spurious analysis in any Qu’ran 67:1. Take it where you will or where you won’t. Languages should always offer a means for removing barriers, not exacerbating them. Weaponizing translations for propaganda value is a kind of false witness that literally obfuscates communication for a hidden or unstated agenda.

A few closing thoughts:

Arabic language has

  • a script that makes many alphabets (alpha, beta…) based on Latin look hammered and chiseled by comparison.
  • a root system that works as precise architecture — form follows function. It combines beauty with linguistic precision.
  • some amazing flexibility. German, my second language, can concatenate nouns, can use entire prepositional and adverbial phrases to function as adjectives. However, Arabic can incorporate entire sentences into a single word.
  • a different look and feel that distinguishes it from Proto-Indo-European language. Farsi is a PIE language, it’s not based on a root system — even though its words look like Arabic.
  • something for the left-handed student. Arabic allows me to see what I am writing as I write, to sweep a pen across a piece of paper. To pull along a sheet of paper rather than to plow into it.
